Brandy, Kevin and Landon | Family Portraits

I have a confession. Before I met Brandy and her wonderful family for their photo shoot, I had never met her in person. That’s not the confession part. The confession part is that I watched a video that Brandy posted on her blog of her putting on her makeup before I met her. So I felt like I knew her, you know? And I’m not a makeup sort of person, so it was very interesting to me. I had every intention of telling her, “I watched your makeup video!” because it would be weird if I hadn’t. But then I never did mention it. Brandy! I watched your makeup video and it was amazing! Confession over PHEW.

But seriously? Brandy is totally awesome. Her husband Kevin? Awesome. Her kid Landon? Even awesomer if that’s possible and/or a word. They were up for everything and anything, and made my two-family photo shoot super fun. Brandy was often behind me trying to get Harrison to smile. And snapping photos with her phone, natch! Landon brought his Cars -  Sally, Lightening McQueen and Mater -  and carried them around the whole time. He also loved my “helper” Gus, the stuffed animal dog you’ll see in a few of the pictures. He talked and talked and talked in that sweet way that two-year-olds do. Too cute.

I so enjoyed meeting this sweet family, and I got some of my favorite pictures ever! Hope you love them, too!

  2. I remember your telling me some years ago that you had always been really good at everything you tried. There are few folks who could get away with a statement like that and have it not called hubris. You stand alone! Hey, if you guys come for Sophie’s show, bring your camera and you can snap photos of my cuties for your portfolio.

  3. Mandy – the photos are beautiful. I think you have a real eye for photos, and wish you all the success in the world in your new venture!!!
